Calling all LEGO® fans and families! The Bowes Museum is THE place to be this Summer as we turn the Museum into a LEGO® wonderland, with 15 of our most loved objects including the Silver Swan recreated by Brick This’ Steve Mayes and you can have a go at making them too!  Then let your imagination go wild in our LEGO® Creation Station where you can take inspiration from your own collections to build your own Museum of treasures.



Things you can do this summer holiday?

As well as the related events taking place throughout the six week holidays (23 July - 30 August) you can join our education team in the vaults and take part in our planned activities each week from 11.00-3.00 inspired by the exhibitions.
Tuesdays (23, 30 July; 6, 13, 20, 27 August) – LEGO® stop motion workshop, drop in and have a go at creating some animation.
Thursdays (25 July; 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 August) – LEGO® printing, what else can you do with LEGO®, get messy in this ARTY session.
Fridays (26 July; 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 August)  – LEGO® robotics and coding workshop, science and computing for everyone.

 Singing for the Brain sessions use singing to bring people living with dementia together in a friendly and stimulating way. In this session, we will explore the current LEGO® exhibition together before enjoying some refreshments and a themed singalong.
