The Bowes Museum > Learn > Education

A warm welcome to our education page where you can find details of our school offer. During these difficult times, we have to adjust our learning programme to ensure that we do not put our visitors and workforce at risk. The website is currently being updated with new resources and online videos linked to our most popular workshops.

We are excited to announce that the Picture This Project is back for a fourth year and will feature Clara, our Indian Rhinoceros marble statue. Schools are invited to take part and submit artwork, stories or poems for an exhibition held in Spring 2021.

We are also thrilled to offer our new Story Sack Lending Scheme. This is a free service and enables us to reach out to you and share our collections. Please contact for further details or our workshops, Picture This Project and Story Sack Service.
