Opening Hours & Admission


The Bowes Museum is open daily. Closed only 25 & 26 December & 1 January.

The Silver Swan plays daily at 2.00.

Between 14 - 16 December all access to the Museum and grounds will be through the front gates due to the Christmas Market. An admission charge of £5.00 per adult and £2.50 per child applies. 

Streatlam Galleries closure 
From 1 to 21 of December 2018 the Streatlam Galleries will be transformed in Santa's Wonderland Grotto and will not be available for visiting without a ticket to see Santa.
