Sisterhood Saturday

As part of The Power and The Virtue: Guido Reni’s Death of Lucretia exhibition, the Elementary Sisterhood are sharing a story session and workshop. They are a group of writers who created a collection of stories of Sisterhood to raise money for Newcastle Woman's Aid.

Come along, meet the writers, hear their stories and create your own.

11.00 – 12.00: Reading from the Elementary Sisterhood followed by a Q&A session.

Come and find out why they write stories in the way that they do and muse with us about the role of a modern heroine vs heroines of the past

1.00 – 2.00: Writing workshop: Creating strong female characters (max 30 participants).

In this workshop you have the chance to work on your own female character and explore what makes them tick. There will be exercises for character development and an opportunity to discuss your work before exploring the exhibition
