The Bowes Museum’s Interior of a Prison is part of a series of works by Francisco Goya. The Museum’s Director, Adrian Jenkins, explored the story behind the picture created during a monumental moment in Goya’s life. We are proud to welcome the exciting Ukrainian pianist, Olga Zado, to perform a captivating recital in the Picture Galleries. Often referred to as “a magician on the piano,” she touches audiences around the world with her poetic musicianship and electrifying technique. Pieces that can be enjoyed at the performance will include Schubert’s 4 Impromptus Opus 142, Chopin’s Ballade No. 3, and Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Opus 111.
