Dress in your spooky best and celebrate Halloween with us. More surprises coming up closer to the time.
Let the magic of Christmas truly come to life and behold our collection as a fantastic array of displays and installations to create a narration around Christmas.
Joséphine Bowes’ pictures are full of atmosphere. In this class with artist Linda Birch you will visit the galleries to sketch and observe her snowy, stormy works then learn practical techniques to recreate the pre-impressionist style and capture the winter light. Please bring with you: your oils, acrylics plus brushes and large palette, an easel or table easel, a fairly large painting surface, canvas or board (approximately A2 or larger as Joséphine painted large pictures) a winter landscape photograph with some trees.
Singing for the Brain sessions use singing to bring people living with dementia together in a friendly and stimulating way. In this session, we’ll explore the Museum decorated for Christmas before having some refreshments and a festive singalong in the picture galleries. For more information and to book, please contact Sharon Simms 0191 3890400 Sharon.Simms@alzheimers.org.uk. To learn more about Singing for the Brain, please visit here.
